Membership information

Who can join ABLS the Association?

Membership is open to all accredited providers of the teaching of English as a Foreign Languages and up-to-date evidence of accreditation by a Home Office recognised body must be provided annually. 

ABLS the Association works in partnership with The Accreditation Body for Language Services (ABLS Accreditation) which is approved by the UKBA. Most members opt to be accredited by this body.
ABLS membership ranges from individual homestays to large schools catering for hundreds of students.

What does ABLS expect of members?

ABLS expects members to:

  • offer good value for money and a high standard of service
  • maintain high academic standards
  • conduct their business with integrity adopting a professional and caring approach to all clients 
  • display the ABLS logo on all publicity material and promote the Association at every opportunity 
  • remove the ABLS logo in the event of leaving the Association for whatever reason 


How much does it cost to join ABLS Association?

Current fees £550 pa.
