Who can join the Association?

Membership is open to all accredited providers of the teaching of English as a Foreign Languages and up-to-date evidence of accreditation by a UK Border Agency approved body must be provided annually. 

The Association works in partnership with The Accreditation Body for Language Services (ABLS Accreditation) which is approved by the UKBA. Most members opt to be accredited by this body.
Membership ranges from individual homestays to large schools catering for hundreds of students.

What does the Association offer?

• representation within the industry
• friendly, professional member support
• marketing exposure at industry workshops
• involvement in key policy making decisions which will affect your business
• participation in an annual residential AGM weekend to provide professional development and valuable networking opportunities
• exposure through the website with a direct link to your website
• an entry in the  Directory of Schools
• preferential rates for some industry advertising 

What does the Association expect of members?

Members are expected to:

• offer good value for money and a high standard of service
• maintain high academic standards
• conduct their business with integrity adopting a professional and caring approach to all clients 
• display the ABLS logo on all publicity material and promote the Association at every opportunity 
• remove the ABLS logo in the event of leaving the Association for whatever reason 

How much does it cost to join the Association?

Current fees £550 pa.
